Ramban, September 23: A shocking incident transpired in Ramban district when two police officers were discovered lifeless inside a parked car at Ziarat Morh, located in the Sana area of Batote tehsil. This unsettling event occurred on Tuesday evening, around 8:30 PM, officials confirmed.
Local residents stumbled upon the inactive bodies of the officers in a Fiat Linea with the registration number JK-19/5299 and promptly transported them to the District Hospital in Ramban. Unfortunately, medical staff pronounced them dead upon arrival.
The officers have been identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed (No. 408/Rbn) from Bhatti Ramban and Selection Grade Constable Muhammad Yaqoob (No. 309/Rbn) hailing from Jatgali Ramban, both serving at the District Police Lines in Ramban.
The authorities have secured the bodies at the hospital for necessary medico-legal procedures. Meanwhile, police sources state that the precise cause of death has not been determined yet. Investigations have commenced to uncover the circumstances that led to this tragic loss.
